Doha, October 30, 2024 – The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index opened with a decline of 42.28 points, settling at 10,714 points in early trading today. This drop reflects a broader downward trend observed over recent trading sessions, with multiple sectors under pressure.

Sector Performance
Telecommunications led the losses, down by 1.52%, followed by Real Estate with a 0.55% decline. Banking and Financial Services dipped by 0.17%, and the Transportation sector saw a 0.13% decrease. However, several sectors showed resilience:

  • Consumer Goods and Services: +0.40%
  • Insurance: +0.38%
  • Industrial Sector: +0.14%

Trading Activity
The QSE recorded approximately 2,913 transactions as of the latest data, with a total trading value of QAR 89.263 million and a volume of about 37.75 million shares.

This decline continues, a pattern seen throughout October, and is attributed to ongoing economic factors and sector-specific challenges that have introduced fluctuations across the QSE index.
