In a formal cable, the Amir wished Trump success in his duties and expressed hopes for stronger friendly relations and strategic cooperation between Qatar and the United States.
The inauguration ceremony took place on January 20, 2025, at the Capitol building, with former presidents, members of Congress, diplomats, and Trump’s supporters in attendance. This event marked Trump’s return to the presidency after serving from 2017 to 2021 and later losing to Joe Biden.
