Lusail International Circuit is set to host the F4 Saudi Arabia Championship for the first time, marking a significant event in the motorsport calendar.

The championship is scheduled to kick off at Lusail International Circuit and run through Saturday, bringing together drivers from both domestic and international backgrounds.

The F4 Saudi Arabia Championship features a five-round calendar for its first season, with races in three countries across the Middle East. After a non-championship round in Bahrain, the series began at Kuwait Motor Town and will continue at various circuits, including Lusail International Circuit, Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and more.

The championship format includes testing sessions, official free practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and multiple races throughout the weekend. Points are awarded based on race results following the classic FIA point system, with additional points for pole position and fastest lap.

Amro Al Hamad, the Executive Director of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and CEO of Lusail International Circuit, expressed his contentment with the recognition.

Al Hamad said, “It is an honor to be acknowledged as the Best Grand Prix of 2023, and our team is dedicated to going beyond expectations to ensure an unforgettable experience for all.

“The excitement is building once again at MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2024 as we are witnessing the epitome of motorsport excellence right here at Lusail International Circuit. We are looking forward to the upcoming races and wishing the best of luck to all teams and riders,” Al Hamad added.

Drivers participating in the championship include notable names like Oscar Wurz, Suleiman Zanfari, and Federico Rifai, each bringing their experience and talent to the grid.

These drivers have already showcased their skills in previous events and are expected to be strong contenders throughout the championship.
