Qatar secured a five-year partnership to host the T100 Triathlon World Championship Finals from 2025 to 2029. The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), Visit Qatar, World Triathlon, and the Qatar Triathlon Federation announced the deal.

The inaugural event will take place in Doha from December 11-13, 2025, featuring a swim in the Arabian Gulf, followed by bike and run segments through Doha and Lusail, showcasing landmarks like Lusail Stadium.

The T100 series aims to elevate triathlon globally by combining elite competition with mass participation. The Doha event will host top professional triathletes and include various events for amateur athletes, allowing them to compete in a new 100km triathlon format alongside professionals.

Abdulaziz Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, emphasized that this partnership strengthens Qatar’s reputation as a premier sports destination and demonstrates its commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture.

Antonio F. Arimany, President of World Triathlon, highlighted that this collaboration marks a significant milestone for triathlon in the Middle East. It ensures a world-class experience for athletes and promotes broader community engagement with the sport. The event aims to inspire local youth and encourage active lifestyles in alignment with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
