The Crescent Sighting Committee at Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs officially confirms the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on April 8, 2024. Hence, Eid Al Fitr begins on April 10 2024 in Qatar.
This aligns with predictions by Qatar astronomers, QCH, and the Kuwaiti Al-Ojairi Scientific Center. Based on the lunar movement, the committee played a vital role at the beginning of the Islamic month.
