1. Qatar University

For Qatari Nationals: Of the approximate QAR 800 for credit hours for undergraduate, the graduate fee is QAR 1200 for credit hours.

For non-Qataris: About $333 per credit hour (Undergraduate Program), $555 per credit hour (Graduate Program).

Qatar University progressed and came a long way until 1979. It has become a research hub and gained a wealth of academic accomplishments. The university has ranked 11th among the top 100 universities in the MENA region and set a benchmark of excellence by ranking 122 in the QS World University Rankings 2025.

The Northwestern University Education City campus, built over 515,000 square feet, was founded in 2008 and is the largest institute of its kind. 4. Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar

Programs: Medicine (pre-medical and medical).

Tuition Fees: Approximately QAR 226,000 per year for pre-med and medical courses.

Weill Cornell Medical Qatar is a campus of Cornell University established in 2001. The school offers a 6-year medical program with single admission; however, students who have completed undergraduate studies from another college can apply to a 4-year program.

The college receives almost 7,000 applications for 106 positions in the entering class. 

Furthermore, 700-750 applicants are interviewed annually for the MD program.

In 2019-20 the college introduced student scholarships instead of loans as financial aid. Students with a 3.5 GPA and higher are likely to get admission. The acceptance rate is 54%.

VCU Qatar is the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts Richmond campus. It was built in 1998 in Education City. The university has a digital fabrication lab, media lab, photography studio, printmaking studio, materials library, and much more.

Students interested in graphic design, fashion design, interior design, printmaking, or painting can enroll in VCU’s graduate and postgraduate programs.

The university has a 91% acceptance rate. Students with 3.5 GPAs and higher can quickly get admission.
