Doha, Qatar – The Crescent Sighting Committee of Qatar has officially announced that Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The announcement came after the sighting of the Shawwal moon, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

With this confirmation, the people of Qatar are set to observe Eid with traditional prayers, festive gatherings, and family celebrations. Public and private sector holidays have also been declared, with government offices expected to remain closed for an extended break.

Eid ul-Fitr, also known as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is a time of joy, gratitude, and charity. Families share meals, exchange gifts, and extend warm greetings. The city’s mosques and prayer grounds will host special Eid prayers early Sunday morning, followed by community events and festivities.

Residents should check local schedules for prayer timings and public holiday arrangements. The government has also urged everyone to celebrate responsibly and ensure the safety and well-being of all during this joyous occasion.

Eid Mubarak to everyone in Qatar!
