Expatriates in Qatar can invite their dependents, first-degree, second-degree, or third-degree relatives, to Qatar for a short-term stay. A one-month visa is issued; however, it can sometimes be extended for up to five months. 

Each visitor will require a separate visa.  The expat should have a minimum salary of QR 5000, an eligible profession (non-labor), and accommodation. 

Qatar Family Visit Visa Requirements 2024

The first requirement is for the resident to have a valid residence permit. Once the visa number is issued, CEID verification of adults is also required for a family visit visa. 

With the visa number, the visa status will remain “under process” for 1 or 2 weeks on Metrash.

Besides, the current age limitation for issuing a family visit visa is 60 years. The Metrash system is not accepting applications for visitors above 60. However, eligibility can be checked in some cases. 

Qatar Family Visit Visa Fee Structure

The price of a Qatar family visa could vary depending on the country you are applying from, the processing fee, and visa duration. Generally, the family visit visa fee prices are as follows;

  • 30 days short-term visit visa for QAR 200 each. The visa is extendable for up to 5 months. 
  • 3-6 month long-term visa for QAR 200-500.

Qatar 3-month visit visa price in Pakistan: 20,00-50,000 based on the number of applicants.

Qatar 3-month visit visa price for Indians: INR 9399 for 3 months, depending on the processing time. 

Documents Required for Qatar Family Visit Visa (Wife & Children)

  • Attested Birth Certificates of children 
  • Attested Marriage Certificate
  • Attested Educational Documents 
  • Attested Passport of Children & Spouse (front and back pages)
  • NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the employer stating your salary and position 
  • Stamped bank statement for the last six months to prove the salary credit.
  • Round Ticket Flight Tickets for Each Dependent.

Required Attachments

  • Host’s Qatar ID (Photocopy)
  • A photocopy of the person’s valid passport is to be brought in. 
  • Attested Marriage certificates & Birth Certificates of Children
  • Certified copy of employment contract with embedded salary and position 
  • Good Conduct Certificate (Police Clearance) of adults certified by the relevant authorities 
  • Health insurance is any registered insurance company listed on the MOPH  website for QAR 50 per month for a visitor’s stay in the country.
  • Clear medical report from the relevant authorities

Documents Required for Qatar Family Visa (Other Relatives)

Here are the documents required for other relatives;

  • Attested copy of the applicant’s Qatar ID
  • Attested passport copies of relatives
  • Proof of relation 
  • NOC letter from the employer
  • Round-trip flight tickets for each relative 
  • Minimum salary QAR 10,000 

Salary Requirement for Qatar Family Visit Visa

Salary requirements are necessary to ensure you can afford the visitors throughout their stay in the country. The minimum salary requirement for a visit visa in 2024 is QR 15,000; however, visas are also granted for QR 10,000.family 

Housing Requirement for Qatar Family Visit Visa 

If you acquire free company accommodations, you must provide a proper contract specifying free accommodation. The agreement should also state that free accommodation for your family will be provided along with the salary. 

In other cases, a municipality must attest to the tenancy contract if you rent an apartment or home. You can use the Metrash mobile app for an exemption. 

Qatar Family Visit Visa Online Procedure

  • Log in to the Metrash 2 Mobile Application, enter your Qatar ID as a username, and type your PIN to proceed.
  • Click on the visa icon and “Issue Visa.”
  • Now click on the “Family Visit” icon
  • Tick box the “Family Visa Application.”
  • Select a new application & fill in all the details as prompted by the app
  • Validate once the form is filled and upload all the required documents
  • Once the visa is approved, pay the fee online

How Do You Apply For a Qatar Visa via Qatar MOI?

Compared to Metrash visa application processing, you will require more document compilation for visa application through the Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI). 

Download the form & complete it. Here are the required documents;

  • Marriage certificate attested
  • Spouse or children’s passports, if any.
  • Attested Birth certificates of children.
  • A 6-month salary bank statement with a bank stamp on it.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer with your salary and position mentioned.
  • Your attested education certificates.
  • Copy of your Passport (front & back page)
  • Copy of Employer’s Qatar ID 
  • Copy of your Qatar ID (Front & Back)
  • One attested copy of the municipality’s tenancy contract states that accommodation will be provided.

Submit all the documents to the immigration office (General Directorate of Passports). The visa status can be seen on the MOI website. Once the visa gets approved, you must pay a QAR 200 fee. 

Conclusion

  • Make sure all your documents are readable and clear when scanned.
  • Create one jpg file for multiple documents.
  • When uploading a passport, the biological pages and your photo should be on the same page. 
  • Include birth certificates to prove your relationship with the visitors.
  • Upload the back side of the attested certificates (like marriage certificates).
  • Prefer applying through Metrash or the MOI website. 
  • If your visa gets rejected, inquire about the reasons for improving it on your next attempt.
