Ministry of Public Health Qatar has announced the following guidance regarding Mandatory Vaccines for Hajj 1445H -2024.

Mandatory Vaccines: 

1. Meningococcal meningitis (Quadrivalent (ACYW) –  All individuals, 1 year old and above* 

2. Seasonal Influenza – All individuals aged 6 months and above*

3. Pneumococcal vaccine – People above 65 years of age and high-risk persons** 

4. SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) – All individuals aged 12 years and above

*Conjugate quadrivalent (ACYW) vaccine against meningococcal meningitis (Nimenrix) can be used for the age group 6-12 months as two injections given 2 months apart. 

** High-risk persons between 18 years and 64 years: People with chronic medical conditions (such as diabetes, sickle cell anaemia, renal failure, immunodeficiency, splenectomy, chronic respiratory or cardiovascular disease), heavy smokers and immunocompromised persons.

Moreover, the Hajj pilgrimage for 2024 is anticipated to start on June 14 and conclude on June 19. Please note that these dates for the Mandatory Vaccines for Hajj 1445H -2024 are approximate and he Islamic lunar calendar will determine it.
